Our client are a leading Financial Services Business based in Surrey and they are currently going through an exciting period of change which has led to the need for a Financial Controller to come on board to assist during their transformation programme over the next 12 – 18 month. Managing and overseeing a high calibre team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting due to a few members of the current team being seconded to assist in the programme.
Duties will include:
- Regulatory reporting
- Liaising with external auditors and stakeholders
- Production of financial and statutory accounts
- Analysing and producing management information
To be considered for this role you should have the following experience:
- Insurance/reinsurance accounting background
- Strong IFRS experience, SOX would be advantageous
- Strong relationship building and management skills
Whilst this role is not directly positioned in the programme, experience and input into driving process & control improvements / efficiencies would be welcome. You will have a logical yet analytical mindset, good communication skills and the ability to work at both a small and large company level as there will be a hands-on element to the role.
ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified, a financial services industry background is essential for this role, however our client is happy to consider individuals from a large sized practice where they have worked with a relevant portfolio This role is to start as soon as possible, therefore long notice periods cannot be considered.
